Martin Jes Iversen´s research interests concerns the dynamic relation between institutional settings and corporate strategies. In this relation he has co-edited the international text book Creating Nordic Capitalism published by Palgrave Macmillan. He has initiated a new Nordic research network on contemporary shipping history and is creating a new database on the Danish shipping development after 1950.
In the fall of 2009 Martin Jes Iversen was visiting researcher at UC Berkeley, Department of Sociology visiting professor Neil Fligstein.
Martin Jes Iversen received the FUHU teaching price of 50.000 kr. in 2008 and the International Business students teaching price of 20.000 kr. in 2007. He is program director of the tri-continental elite program "GLOBE" which is a co-operatin with Chinese University of Hong Kong and Kennan Flagler Business School at UNC, Chapel Hill.
He is elected member of the CBS Academic Council and member of the board of "Nyt fra Samfundsvidenskaberne".
