My research revolves around the role of non-state actors in global politics, and in a broader sense, around the interface between the public and private in politics and economic life. Conceptually, I am mainly inspired by constructivist approaches to the study of governance, including theories of practice and discourse. Thematically, my key focus is on the contemporary development of transparency and anti-corruption regimes and the role of corporations and industries, including how various political, economic and cultural practices and modes of governance come to shape conceptions of risk within and around organizations.
