Conference on International and Intercultural Negotiation

Program
Three keynote speakers :
• Cecilia Albin on intercultural justice and fairness (Thursday). Cecilia Albin is a professor of Peace and Conflict research at Uppsala University;
• Cathrine Tinsley on studying intercultural negotiation procedures (Thursday); Catherine H. Tinsley is an Associate Professor at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University; and
• Guy Olivier Faure on Negotiating with China (Friday). Guy Olivier Faure is Professor of Sociology at the Sorbonne University, Paris V, and on the steering committee of PIN (processes of international negotiations) at IIASA


Four sessions of academic papers in negotiation studies (Thursday and Friday), tackling questions of the interplay between the macro dynamics of bargaining power between different actors, including governments and alliances in their institutional embedding, and the micro dynamics of individual actors’ behavior.Korte oplæg ved:

Three workshops with high-profile professionals and active audience participation, planned in collaboration with MarketWatch (Friday).
• “International Market Negotiations”,
• “Intercultural perceptions of Ethics & Fairness”, and
• “Cross-cultural Communication and negotiating behaviour”.
The workshops will serve as an opportunity to compare experiences and offer an opportunity to deduce best practice on some international and intercultural negotiation issues.

There is a conference fee that includes lunch and refreshments;
for both days, it is 1000 kr;
for the Friday alone it is 600 kr.
