SIABO - SIABO PhD School: Ontology & Lexicon - Theory and Applications

The SIABO Project invites participants to submit applications for
participation in the international PhD Course on " Ontology & Lexicon –
Theory & Applications" - December 1-4 2008, Copenhagen Business School.
The course is intended for PhD students in Computational Linguistics,
Linguistics, Computer Science, Ontologies, Concept analysis and
Terminology.
Key Themes:
  • The relationship between ontologies, lexicon, linguistic
    description, and linguistic ressources
  • The relationship between top ontologies and domain ontologies
  • Ontologies, events and entities
  • Applications of ontology-based approaches to language
Course Structure:
The course has a tripartite structure:
  • Monday, December 1: Student presentations and discussions
  • Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2-3: Lectures
  • Thursday, December 4: Research seminar
