The Public Procurement Research Group is part of the School of Law at the University of Nottingham, which is consistently ranked amongst the leading law schools in the United Kingdom: it is rated as ‘Internationally Outstanding’ (Grade 5A on a scale of 1-5*) for research and as ‘Excellent’ for teaching. The Public Procurement Research Group is a global leader in research and teaching on public procurement regulation, with academic staff hailing from China, Nigeria, Italy and Greece, as well as the UK. As well as conducting research, the Group teaches modules on public procurement law to both undergraduates and postgraduates, and has an extensive PhD programme. The Group also works closely with national governments and international organisations to provide training and advice on policy-making. The work of the Group and of its members is sponsored by Achilles Information and Achilles Group, by Bevan Brittan LLP, and by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Copenhagen Business School
The public procurement law research group at the Law Department of CBS is one of the larger and most active groups in Europe within this field. Members of the group have published several articles in the internationally recognized journal Public Procurement Law Review (PPLR) which is peer reviewed as well as several books and articles. Furthermore, one of its members has been affiliated to PPLR for a decade and was appointed Assistant Editor of the journal in 2006. The public procurement group has successfully organized international conferences and subsequent publication of the presented papers. Its members frequently give lectures at conferences in Denmark and abroad, and the group has established close links with other researchers of the highest international standing in the field. It can be added that members of the group have assisted the Danish government in concrete tender procedures and that one member is an expert member of the Danish Complaints Board for Public Procurement (Klagenævnet for Udbud) and Peer Reviewer for OECD/SIGMA. The group has offered procurement law courses for more than a decade.

Central University of Finance & Economics - Beijing
The China Public Procurement Research Center is a research institute established by the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE)and operated by the Law School of CUFE under the authorization of CUFE. The Group is consisted of China’s earliest and leading experts on public procurement in the fields of law, finance economics, public administration and defense acquisition and is a leading and most active advocate for China’s government procurement reform and legislations. One of its senior members was a member on the Working Groups of China’s Bidding Law, Government Procurement Law and the Concession Regulation of Municipal Infrastructure in Beijing, and an expert group member with respect to UNCITRAL’s Model Law on government procurement. Two of its senior members serve as advisors to the Chinese Delegate with respect to the above mentioned UNCITRAL model law. Three of its member serves as local experts with respect to procurement law revision and formulation of new regulation under the umbrella of World Bank’s program on supporting China’s economic reform and senior advisors to China’s Working Group with respect to its accession to the WTO GPA. Senior members of the Group published China’s earliest monograph and text book and another three books in public procurement. It also publishes more than 50 articles including several articles in Public Procurement Law Review and chapters in edited international books. One of its members serves on the Editorial Board of Public Procurement Law Review, Journal of Government Procurement (U.S.A) and the Chinese Journal of Government Procurement. Members of the Group regularly speak at conferences domestic and aboard and host workshops/conferences on public procurement. The focus of the Group’s current research is on GPA related issues and domestic procurement law reform.

Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics (XJUFE) is a full-time University of higher learning and it is one of the key universities in Urumqi, the capitol of Xinjiang in the west of China. The University offers programmes for undergraduates, postgraduates, adults and foreign students. The University comprises of 14 academic departments. The modernized library has more than 600,000 books in stock. There is a total enrolment of more than 20,000 students. There is 1302 staff in total; including 750 are fulltime teachers, 36 professors and 215 associate professors. Established in 1972, the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya provides a liberal education in law and jurisprudence; arming students with the skills for ethical professional practice and critical examination of the law as an element of social organisation, change and justice.
The Faculty orientates their programmes towards the needs of Malaysia, increasing the use of the National Language (Bahasa Malaysia) in the study and practice of law. It also encourages greater research into Malaysian Law, especially Muslim law and customary law.
