- On May 8th 2012 ©reative Encounters opened the doors for an Open Day themed ’Creative Disillusions? Conclusions and discussions from a 4,5 year long research project on the socio-economic organisation of creative industries.’
- On the 19 October 2011, Kristina Vaarst Andersen defended her PhD thesis: "Optimal Levels ofEmbeddedness - The Contingent Value of Networked Collaboration". The PhD thesis investigates the relationship between collaboration networks and performance. It aims to improve our understanding of why the benefits of embeddedness in various networks are context dependent and provides insight into the association between embeddedness in collaboration networks and outcomes under different conditions. - The first Creative Evaluative Practices workshop was hosted by Creative Encounters, CBS, 25-27 of May 2011.
- Else Skjold and Lise Skov co-arranged and participated in the workshop “Wardrobe Ethnographies”, which took place from 15th-17th of June 2011 and was funded by NorForsk.
- The second Creative Evaluative Practices workshop was hosted by Creative Encounters and took place from the 14-16th of September 2011 at CBS.
- Many of the papers first presented at the second Creative Encounters workshop on "Industry Encounters: Fairs, Festivals" held in September 2009 have been edited by Brian Moeran and Jesper Strandgaard Pedersen and published by Cambridge University Press. Negotiating Values in Creative Industries: Fairs, Festivals and Competitive Events came out in the early spring of 2011.
- Lise Skov and Else Skjold organised the conference “New European Fashion Centres: Dreams of Small Nations in a Polycentric Fashion System”, which took place at CBS 20th – 22th of January 2010.
- The Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion was published by Berg Publishers and Oxford University Press. Lise Skov edited Volume 8 on Western Europe. Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion has won the prestigious Dartmouth Medal for Major Reference in 2010.
- Routledge has recently been published as a “Routledge Revival” Brian Moeran’s 1985 Stanford University Press ethnographic monograph (recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide to Japan), Okubo Diary: Portrait of a Japanese Valley.
- On the 1st of September 2010, Else Skjold participated in the panel discussion 'Fashion/Media/Culture', arranged by Fashion Forum at the Danish Museum of Art and Design.
