CSR on the student agenda

12.10.2009
CBS students are increasingly trained to look for successful approaches to the business environment, and they have started focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility.
The start of the year came with a surprise for the CBS Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (cbsCSR). A recent call for a student research assistant returned an amazing response from interested students. A total number of 78 CVs was received over a period of 12 days, twice as many as for a similar call in March of this year. Students from various lines of study, from Business Language and Culture to Applied Economics and Finance, both master and bachelor, have expressed their interest in becoming part of the CSR driven team. The selected students will be helping Associate Professor Kai Hockerts and Research Director Jonas Eder-Hansen in various projects run by the centre.
”The number of candidates as well as their qualifications and interest in the CSR field go to show that CSR is high on the agenda of business students and that they are already choosing their ways to arrive at a more responsible business thinking”, says cbsCSR Research Director Jonas Eder-Hansen.
cbsCSR has been a dynamic centre since its establishment in 2002 and is the central locus at CBS for research in CSR and business in society issues more broadly.
