I am currently working on a postdoc-project on sustainable building construction and study work practices and routines of architects and engineers with a focus on energy related issues. I am inspired by Actor-Network Theory and work practice studies and am especially interested in ways work practices and technologies keep particular ways of constructing a building at place or enable a renewal of these. Furthermore, my aim is to investigate how energy related issues are coordinated with other building related concerns, for example the economic, aesthetic and the functional. Besides work practice studies I also entertain an interest for the field of constructivist market sociology within which I have written my thesis with a topic of market creation for environmentally friendly products.
