Field studies in Indian Tata Consulting Services (TCS)
Professor Anne-Marie Søderberg and doctoral student Thomas Tøth, both DICM, have visited TCS´s Global Delivery Centre in Budapest, Hungary. This is a truly multilingual and multicultural workplace where more than 800 employees of 39 nationalities with capabilities in 32 languages offer a multitude of near-shore services to major European clients as well as to customers with a global presence, for example within banking, insurance and telecommunications.

Next step will be ethnographic studies of software development teams in TCS India involved in virtual collaboration with the teams in Hungary and at many other locations around the world where TCS is present. 
TCS is one of the company partners in the strategic project ‘Next Generation Technology of Global Software Development’. It is a five years research programme conducted in collaboration between Copenhagen Business School, the IT University of Copenhagen and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
