Honorary doctor, professor Oliver Hart

On 20 March, CBS conferred an honorary doctorate upon renowned Harvard economist Oliver Hart, father of modern, contract-based theory of the firm.
Oliver Hart is the Andrew E. Furer Professor at Harvard University. Oliver Hart’s research topics include financial markets, corporate finance, the theory of the firm, corporate governance, incomplete contracts, bankruptcy and insolvency, monopolistic competition, and macroeconomics.
Professor Hart is the leading economist within the theory of the firm. His 1990 article in the Columbia Law Review on 'An Economist’s Perspective on the Theory of the Firm' is a born classic. It has already been reprinted in at least seven collections of important contributions.
