CALLING AND THE DUTY OF PRIMADONNAS
Dr Helle Hedegaard Hein and Conductor Peter Hanke introduce a discussion of one of the central topics in managing creative organizations; stars and primadonnas. Peter, cofounder of CAL, has a long experience in teaching management by music and Helle Hein has done extensive field work in a big theatre dependent on managing top competences in the arts.
Post-seminar: Sip a beer and continue the conversation
Thursday December 3rd 17.00-19.00
CREATIVITY CAGED
Professor Sverre Raffnsoe runs a big project on the human conditions of contemporary working life operating under a Foucaldian heading;“self-management”. Today most of us work in loosely managed flat-fuzzy project organizations. Still creativity seems paradoxically dependent on limitations, restrictions and rules. Sverre reflects on caged creativity using a Danish case; the 2003 Lars von Trier movie “The Five Obstructions”.
Thursday December 17th 15.00-17.00
PHILOSOPHIZING LEADERSHIP
Professor Ole Fogh Kirkeby reflects on the philosophy of events and its relevance to the managing experiences in both art and business. Ole founded CAL and has spent the past six years doing experiments in philosophizing management by means of the arts.
Post-seminar: Have a drink and continue the discussion
