Kirstine Zinck Pedersen: Patient safety and the organization of risk and responsibility in health care
In recent years a number of patient safety technologies have been implemented in Danish health care as part of an extensive patient safety policy program.
The project is an investigation of the consequences of this program and aims at answering questions on how the concrete technologies influence everyday medical practices, distribution of risk and responsibility, standardization of medical work, the possibility of health care professionals to exercise professional discretion and judgment, as well as the overall understanding and performance of safety in health care.
