Oana Brindusa Albu: Organizational Transparency

Transparency, in its common sense, is a property of objects which can be seen through.
Hence transparency is often associated with notions of clarity, insight and openness. By the metaphorical extension of its meaning transparency became a highly appreciated characteristic in today’s academic and corporate environments.
My research project aims, firstly, to investigate how organizational transparency is defined in the interplay between the organization and its key stakeholders (NGOs, IOs, think tanks, etc). Secondly, the project seeks to map out the effects of transparency upon the organization, stakeholders and their practices, thus, examining how corporate identity is influenced by transparency enactment.
