Robert Strand: Corporate Social Responsibility in the C-Suite
In my research I focus on the role of leadership in corporate social responsibility (CSR), and I pay particular attention to CSR discussions and strategy setting in the top management teams of large Scandinavian and American corporations.
What does corporate social responsibility (CSR) mean to top management team members (TMT)? How is CSR discussed in the “upper echelons” of the corporation? How prevalent are Chief Officers of CSR in corporations? Are there regional differences in having CSR TMT members between American and Scandinavian corporations? These are some of the questions I explore in my CSR focused research that delves into the “black box” of the corporate C-Suite.
