Prerequisite/progression of the course
The Center for Strategic Management & Globalization (SMG) at the Copenhagen Business School offers this doctoral course in Advanced Strategic Management Topics. The course is targeted to PhD students and management researchers in the strategy field and allows participants to excel their research activities around contemporary strategy issues.
Aim of the course
The course incorporates new perspectives in contemporary strategy research including dynamic capabilities, innovation and business renewal,strategic responsiveness, and corporate entrepreneurship. The class sessions highlight current research challenges in the strategy field and encourage open discussions on how to deal with them.

Teaching methods
Course sessions incorporate formal presentations, discussions on assigned readings, and open exchanges about current strategy issues. The course will outline major trends in the strategy field and debate alternative directions for future research activities. There will be a focus on how to address the challenges associated with conducting and eventually publishing new research in strategic management.
