CBS Alumni Event 2007: More than 300 people took part in the networking – did you?

CBS Alumni wants to thank everyone who took part in this year’s alumni event and helped create an exciting and inspiring day. Especially, a big thank you to the participants who took the time to evaluate the event, which gave us useful advice for the future.
More than 300 alumni and master’s students in their final year participated and reunited with CBS and former fellow students.
The event was a succes and many people expressed their enthusiasm towards the three keynote speakers - Jeff Raikes, President, Microsoft Business Division, Kresten Schultz Jørgensen, Founder and Managing Director, Lead Agency, and Søren Jenry Petersen, Senior Vice President, Nokia - who kicked off the event by talking about their personal careers and international management in general.

It was a very fruitful, exciting, fun and educational event giving tools, inspiration and new ideas to employ in the future,” an alumnus states.
Thank you so much for a very exciting day. Being a student it has been very educational and inspiring to participate. Keep up the good work and make an effort telling current students about such events in order to let them experience the possibilities of CBS Alumni,” a student says.

The CBS Alumni Event from an alumnus' point of view

Betina Kristiansen participated in the CBS Alumni Event, Monday 22 October. She completed her Bachelor in International Business Communication from CBS in 2005 and has recently graduated from the University of Southern Denmark as cand.mag. also in International Business Communication.
As a former CBS student I was invited to the Alumni Event, and I decided to participate in order to expand my knowledge and to meet company representatives and other alumni. I looked forward to a day with inspiring lectures and workshops. The lectures were packed with interesting thoughts on international career, and appealed to me in my current situation as a graduate searching for a place to begin my career. The Alumni Event made me realise the many opportunities I have for broadening my horizons, but also that an international career requires hard work.

Another reason why I took part in the Alumni Event was to network with other alumni and company representatives, which I did - but not as much as I would have liked to. Yet, I did expand my network and gained insight into company cultures and employment methods, which made me think of new possibilities. All in all, it was a profitable day. But I am still on the look-out for a position.”
